DETAILS

When the oil is thick, like the furnace or lubricating oils, there is no difficulty in reading the level on the tape or rod. However, volatile petroleum fractions like gasoline do not leave sufficient traces on a perfectly clean gadget to allow readings to be done. The OLEODIS Gasoline Finding Paste helps considerably, as it visibly retains the petroleum level on the dipping gadget.

PRODUCT PROPERTIES

On contact with a petroleum product, the hydrocarbon reactive blue paste will form a distinct horizontal line and give an instant red demarcation line, and unaffected by moisture, this indicates the level of the petroleum product.

Make sure the surface of the dipping gadget is free from traces of oil. Apply a thin and even layer of paste 8-10 cm on either side of the anticipated petroleum level.

Introduce the gadget slowly till the lower end touches the tank bottom.

Withdraw guage immediately. Observe for sharp red horizontal demarcation on a blue background representing the petroleum level.
