Overview

Designed for the production of purified water out of drinking water

  • The HA-RO cube large system is designed for the production of pure water from drinking water or pre-treated drinking water that has already been stabilized for hardness.
  • The HA-RO cube large system is available in four different configurations (large, large EH, large EH EDI, large EDI) to meet specific requirements for pure water in various applications.
  • The HA-RO cube large is a basic reverse osmosis unit capable of producing up to 130 L/h.
  • he HA-RO cube large EH integrates a water softening unit.
  • The HA-RO cube large EH EDI adds an additional EDI cell to the water softening unit to provide a production capacity of up to 120 L/h with water quality < 1 µS/cm.

The downstream pressure equalization tank ensures a largely constant pressure, through which the treated and stored water can be released to the end-user (e.g., laboratory dishwasher, autoclave, disinfection device, pure water system) in a controlled manner.

The provision of DI water is primarily carried out through ion exchange resins, a process that necessitates regular regeneration of the ion exchange resins. This regeneration entails the frequent replacement of ion exchange cartridges, which are no lightweight items, weighing at least 30 kg and requiring careful handling. For shipping, they need to be packed on a pallet, adding to logistical complexities, including the necessity of pre-arranged shipping.

These shipping and regeneration processes incur ongoing costs that should not be underestimated. Apart from the financial aspects, the entire procedure demands additional labor time and effort from the staff. Often, they need to work in awkward positions, which is not ergonomically ideal and can lead to physical discomfort. Furthermore, there’s a constant risk of cartridge mix-ups, resulting in malfunctions or even hazardous situations during connection.

The compact HA-RO cube large water purification system is delivered in a sturdy plastic frame specifically designed for under-counter installation. Equipped with bottom rollers, it’s easy to maneuver. Its design seamlessly integrates into the laboratory environment.
